We host regular cleanups around the Queen City. These family friendly events take us to our core mission, protecting and enjoying our lakes and rivers through a powerful activist network. Focusing on our 3 main lakes, Lake Norman, Lake Wylie and Mountain Island Lake, as well as the Catawba River and the many creeks and tributaries, we have pulled thousands of pounds of garbage from our waters.
Our chapter has adopted a cove on Mountain Island Lake through the CharMeck Storm Water Services Department and hold regular cleanups at Latta Plantation.
We look forward to seeing you at our next cleanup. Head on over to our events page for our calendar to see when our next cleanup is scheduled. We provide everything you need, but also ask that you help us make these plastic free events, bringing your own reusable water bottle, if needed. While we’re at it, you can also reduce your carbon footprint by carpooling, taking public transit or walking/biking if possible.
